Analytics & BI
For teams whose dashboards exist but nobody opens them. BI projects usually fail for reasons that have nothing to do with the tool. Metrics weren't defined. Data wasn't trusted. Dashboards answered questions nobody actually asks. We start with the decisions your team needs to make and work backward to what should be in front of them.
Where we plug in
You have Tableau / Looker / Power BI but nobody trusts it. Or the CFO is still asking analysts for one-off SQL pulls. Or you're spinning up a new function and need executive-grade reporting from day one.
Deliverables
- Metric definitions & KPI tree
- Executive & operational dashboards
- Self-serve explore layer for analysts
- Embedded analytics (for SaaS products)
- Training & enablement for your team
- Governance & access patterns
Typical engagement
4–10 weeks per scope. Often the most visible deliverable in a larger engagement.
Common questions
We already have Tableau / Looker / Power BI. What would you change?
Usually not the tool. Most BI failures trace back to undefined metrics, untrusted data, or dashboards that answer questions nobody asks. We start from the decisions your team needs to make and work backward, which sometimes means rebuilding three dashboards instead of thirty.
How do you decide what goes on a dashboard?
We interview the people who'll use it and build a KPI tree: the decisions they own, the metrics that inform those decisions, and the definitions behind each metric. Dashboards get built from that tree, not from whatever columns are available.
Can you embed analytics in our SaaS product?
Yes. We've shipped embedded analytics for customer-facing products, including the metric APIs behind them. That work usually pairs with the transformation practice so the numbers customers see are the same ones you report internally.
How long does a BI engagement take?
4–10 weeks per scope. It's often the most visible piece of a larger engagement: the modernization and transformation work makes the numbers right, and this layer makes them usable.
